Job Description
PubMatic (Nasdaq: PUBM) is an independent technology company that enhances customer value by optimizing the digital advertising supply chain. Our sell-side platform enables leading digital content creators to control access to their inventory, maximize monetization, and help marketers achieve better returns on investment.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-performance, scalable, enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in software design meetings and create technical design documents.
- Independently develop product modules and features.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain and refactor existing code to improve performance and stability.
- Work within an Agile development environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in various environments.
- Conduct feasibility analysis and design specifications for new features.
- Take end-to-end ownership of feature development, execution, and release.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, IT, EE, E&TC) or
- Master's degree in Computer Science (MCS, MCA) from a recognized institute/university.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and data structures.
- Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE (Java 11+), Spring, Hibernate/MyBatis.
- Experience with JUnit and REST Web Services.
- Good knowledge of MySQL databases, with exposure to NoSQL databases being a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell Script, Python, PHP (nice to have).
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Docker.
- Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS (nice to have).
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), code reviews, Agile practices.
- Exposure to Gen AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, GitHub Copilot (nice to have).
Preferred Qualities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile development environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks.
